Axe & Abe Builders, LLC was founded by Christopher L. Bailey, a master electrician, experienced residential contractor, and craftsman who understands that an exceptional home is defined by more than its finished appearance.

Chris began his career in residential construction as an electrical subcontractor before founding his own electrical company, Electric Monkey, LLC. Working inside homes for years gave him a firsthand understanding of what distinguishes quality construction from shortcuts—and showed him how much the details behind the walls matter over time.
He brought that perspective to residential home building and general contracting when he founded Axe & Abe Builders, LLC. Today, Chris remains personally involved in every project, overseeing each home from the ground up while continuing to perform the electrical work himself.

That hands-on approach reflects his belief that true craftsmanship begins long before the finishing touches. Although beautiful materials and thoughtful design are important, a home’s lasting quality depends on its structure, mechanical systems, and the work that remains unseen. Chris is committed to doing things right, refusing to cut corners, and building homes designed to endure.

Those standards are rooted in the principles that have shaped his career: quality craftsmanship, integrity, attention to detail, and genuine care for every homeowner. As a self-made builder, Chris has built Axe & Abe around a personal commitment to treating each project with the same care he would bring to his own home.

The company’s name reflects those values. Axe & Abe draws inspiration from Abraham Lincoln and the qualities associated with his legacy—honesty, perseverance, integrity, and hard work. These ideals continue to guide Chris in his craft, his relationships with customers, and the homes he builds.
As a locally owned builder, Axe & Abe Builders offers something increasingly rare: a builder who is personally invested in both the home and the homeowner.

The inspiration behind our name may come from the past, but what we build is about the future.
